Make Up Forever HD Foundation Review ❤️

Image
Hi Lovelies, I placed my order for the infamous HD foundation from Make Up Forever (details of the website at the end of this post). I picked my shade using their colour matching service on make up forever website (I wouldn't normally do that but seeing as I wasn't going to Fulham anytime soon) they matched a shade for me. I can't begin to explain my excitement because I've heard that this foundation is a favourite amongst many celebrities! Also... The shade matched my skin perfectly!! Anyway, views on this foundation after using it - Disappointed! The foundation is a watery consistency for starters which is a no go for my skin, this also means it's not buildable It did not cover any of my blemishes and despite using more it simply did nothing for my skin!! I ended up using my MAC Matchmaster on top! I haven't used it since because I hate layering foundations especially as I was using this during the day.!    Maybe I have gone the wrong way about it as this is m

Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation Review

Hello lovelies..! Wow it's been so long since I've blogged, I just never find the time.! I've been buying loads of stuff and trying it out so it's not like I've got nothing to blog about..!! Anyway enough of the moaning. I finally purchased the Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay in Place Foundation. I've heard it's all the rage and it was recommended to me especially because I have oily skin. This foundation is also highly regarded by make up artist Lisa Eldridge! It promises to be long wearing and keep shine at bay for hours!!  My Verdict........... Disappointed!!! This foundation did not cover my blemishes very well and I was disappointed at how much I had to use to try and conceal them. What I did find instead that I had to use a separate concealer on top of marks and scars which I don't do at all with other foundations. The other let down was that it did not make any difference to the shine on my face, I was blotting as per usual!!! On the plus side howev

Red Lips...! Yay or Nay? ❤

Image
Hello Beauts! This post is slightly different to my normal reviews/opinions posts..! I would love to know what you girls think of red lipstick on thin lips..! Unfortunately I haven't been blessed with Angelina's pout and I feel when wearing red lipstick my lips look thinner than they already are..! I normally use MACs Ruby Woo and I recently purchased MACs Lady Danger too..!! I love a matte finish but not sure I pull it off!! I know this sounds crazy but I feel red lips make my lips look drawn on.!!! I've been seeing a lot of fellow bloggers on twitter rocking red lips and they look gorge!!!!  I'd love to know if you have any tips or tricks you could share to make a red lip long wearing and what your preferences are regarding a satin or matte finish and why! How can I feel comfortable wearing a red lip during the day too?? I heard there are no rules with that statement!! Tell me what you think!! Thanks for reading ❤

Mega Shine Super Tough ❤

Just a quick review for my lovelies about the Sally Hansen Mega Shine Top Coat! What can I say but that it's amazing. I use it once a week and my nail colour lasts me for exactly 1 week which is perfect because as much as I love nice nails I hate painting them..! I just find it such a chore and this wonderful top coat makes my life easy because I don't have to worry about the colour chipping. The added bonus is that no matter how many coats I've used of the nail colour when I apply the top coat it's all dry in 1 minute...! I have had so many people ask me if I have my nails done and that's normally my queue to tell them nope...! It's the Sally Hansen Mega Shine that makes my nails look amazing..! It's glossy and hard as nails and doesn't cause any wrinkling to the enamel..! It doesnt drag on any colours but slightly noticeable when your wearing red but it doesn't ruin your colour...!! A brilliant product. I buy mine in tesco for £5.99...! I'd l

I heart the Beautyblender ❤

Hello Beauts..! I've been meaning to do a review on the incredible Beauty Blender, a girls best friend indeed. I purchased mine direct from the website http://www.beautyblender.co.uk/  I bought the Beautyblender Classic and Blender Cleanser Set at £26.50. The sponge comes in the form of a tear drop and its best used damp so I always give mine a quick rinse in tepid water. I use my blender with liquid and cream foundations and the results are amazing, I apply the product to the back of my hand and dab the blender on it!! It always provides a flawless and airbrushed finish and you can work with the blender to build coverage too. To begin with, I dab the blender with the product on my face and then use a bouncing technique to ensure the foundation is evenly applied. Since it is a sponge you would think that it would absorb most of the product but that isn't the case..! In fact a little goes a long way when using this amazing sponge correctly. I use it with concealers and cream b

The fuss about BB creams..!!

Image
I gave into all the hype and purchased the BB cream, I went for the Rimmel one in shade medium because I couldn't justify spending over £20 (I think MAC BB creams are priced a little over that) on a cream that I still have my reservations about!! I think I spent £5.00 as it was on special offer but they normally retail at around £10.00. I wasn't sure if this is a proper foundation or a tinted moisturiser. I don't normally use tinted moisturisers and it doesn't say that your supposed to use this as foundation. I don't like the idea of packing my face with a tinted moisturiser and then using foundation on my skin, anyhow I read the packaging and used this with my beloved make up sponge! I've factored the BB cream into my weekly make up routine, I like to mix foundations so depending on my mood i'll pick the BB cream. It's a a creamy consistency as it says and glides on easy. I'm not sure it's ideal for people with skin like mine, I have oily,
